As the national fire and rescue statistics show, chimney fires have been steadily decreasing in most regions over the years, despite recent wood burner popularity. In England across 2023-24, chimney fire incidents reduced by 16.29% in comparison to 2022-23, representing approximately 1.5% of the total fires for 2023-24.
